Patrick Gundry-White

“I have been teaching the Alexander Technique for almost 20 years and still find it the most stimulating and inspiring thing I do. Working with people of all ages and from all kinds of backgrounds, it never ceases to amaze me how widely applicable the technique is so many activities and ways of life.
Before becoming an Alexander teacher I played french horn, composed and conducted. Training in the Alexander Technique with Don Burton in Kendal rekindled my boyhood love of singing and on graduating I found myself a member of staff specializing in performance and running the Fellside Choir. I still play, write music, sing and run a vocal group where I live in Whaley Bridge. Teaching performers is a central part of my life, working with members of the Halle Orchestra, Choir and the BBC Philharmonic. I have long had an interest in the art of breathing and in 2006 I qualified as Buteyko practitioner. I have practices in Manchester city centre (above the Friends Meeting House), Gatley, Glossop and in Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire."
