James Crow

“I trained at the same school as Lucy, I think she finished just as I was starting, and since then I’ve enjoyed Lucy’s company on some really interesting workshops both here and abroad.
I got into A.T. after RSI got the better of me, and I worked long and hard to become pain-free. I don’t think I was the quickest learner out there at first, so I’ve made all the mistakes in learning this that you could ever imagine. Rather than being a bad thing, I like to think that it means I catch you before you head down a learning dead-end - and show you plenty of different ways to get round it.
My degree is in Cognitive Science, which is a lot of psychology and philosophy, so I like the thinking aspects of the technique, and particularly the increase in presence and consciousness that it can bring. To me it’s all about fixing the mind-body dissociation that can spoil our comfort, health, posture and ability to get the most out of life. I teach Alexander full time in Stockport, Wilmslow and Macclesfield. Most of my lessons run in the afternoon and evenings."
